Snaps are in stock at alderandcoshop.com love love.
We cooked up a storm this weekend at Feast Portland, the major food and drink festival of the Pacific Northwest. It was our third time at the event sharing our Portland made goods and treats during the sold out Grand Tasting, the festival’s largest tasting event.
At Feast’s Grand Tasting Friday and Saturday we debuted our newest product, Bunches & Bunches Provisions Jerk Sauce. Over 2000 servings of our Jerk Chicken with a grilled pineapple and black bean salsa flew out of our hands and made the local TV news. Our favorite things about Feast are sharing our products – seeing the delight on people’s faces as they enjoy the flavors, meeting other amazing chefs and makers, and the music! Great DJ this year.
Our Jerk Sauce is inspired by the flavors and spices used in Jamaican jerk sauces, marinades, and Caribbean style barbecue. It is gluten free, easy to use, and made with ingredients that we are proud of. We think you will love the taste. It will be on shelves and available via our website in a few weeks. Stay tuned!

“Good recipes that never fail you should be collected over time, passed from parent to child, from friend to friend, and treasured as a most prized possession.” – Valentina Rice
Our friend Valentina Rice has composed a beautiful compilation of recipes from cocktails to sweets to our Colorado Mole. It is a treat to be included with such fine company in the Many Kitchens cookbook. You can find this cookbook, other recipes, and an array of products including ours at manykitchens.com.
And remember love is the most precious ingredient!
Nachos anyone? Everyone?! Many Kitchens, a sweet place (online) where you can buy our mole and cookies, recently created this recipe. It looks like something we would make and love! Nachos With Bunches & Bunches Smoked: Oaxacan Mole Sauce (you could also use our Red: Dried Chilaca Mole Sauce or Green: Fire Roasted Chile Sauce for delicious nachos). Here’s Valentina Rice’s mouth-watering recipe (and we think it would be great vegetarian as well!):

Wonderful review of Bunches & Bunches Smoked: Oaxacan Mole Sauce on the blog by Ted Kennedy Watson (TKW) and a simple recipe for how they like to use our product:
Chicken In Mole Sauce
- Buy a jar of Bunches & Bunches Smoked Oaxacan Mole Sauce (the Red Mole & Green Chile Sauce work great this way too!).
- Just spoon over a few chicken breasts and roast in the oven. Add more in the last few minutes of the cooking process.
- Add a bit more once the meat has rested and spoon over the cut up pieces of chicken so the sauce really gets all over the meat.
“The deep, smoky flavor turning ordinary chicken into extraordinary chicken.”
“Last night I served it with roasted Yukon gold potatoes, black beans, salsa and a sprinkling of feta over the whole thing. Fun to have a few jars of things around to add to something simple like chicken to bump up the flavor quotient and make it extra special.” – TKW
Congratulations to comedy’s secret agent Julia Louis-Dreyfus on her Emmy wins for Veep this week. We are big fans of both Veep and Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
Speaking of Comedians In Cars…it was a HUGE thrill to see our Snaps and moles in the episode with Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jerry Seinfeld who were having a great time together at our favorite coffee shop in the whole world – Caffe Luxxe (Montana Avenue, Santa Monica and other locations in the Los Angeles area).
Check out our friends at Caffe Luxxe, we love them and they will always get your coffee just right! Really good people and owners who have been carrying out handmade Bunches & Bunches treats since the beginning. Here’s the link to see Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jerry Seinfeld having some good laughs and fun in Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee.

We enjoy using these sauces ourselves and post recipe ideas here on our website so you can easily cook with them at home.
Happy Cinco De Mayo, may you savor life with good food and people often!

Mark and I met at culinary school in San Francisco, and the city is a sweet sweet place in our story…Now, a baker’s dozen years or so later we are delighted to share our goods and treats with the people and dogs of San Francisco via our company, Bunches & Bunches. We make several human treats (see shop), but with a pack of big dogs we were inspired to do something they would love too. Hence, Bailey’s Biscuits named for our first dog, Bailey, a big goofy lover of all manner of deliciousness.
We are delighted to share these all natural hand crafted dog treats via this lovely spot in Bernal Heights. Thank you Epicurean Trader…we LOVE seeing Bailey’s Biscuits lining up your window! We hope many dogs will enjoy them like ours do! XO Woof! Special wishes for a bountiful first season Mat & Holly – Cheers!:
The Epicurean Trader is a specialty food & beverage store in San Francisco.
We hand select small batch artisan products from across America for their incredible
flavors and fusions, natural ingredients and beautiful packaging.
Our goal is to be a brand ambassador for these smaller brands, sharing their unique stories, and bringing many of them to San Francisco for the first time.
We aim to provide a platform for epicureans to discover and taste
the best artisanal foods from across the country.

Bunches & Bunches made it’s first appearance in Food & Wine, Thanksgiving from America’s best artisans (November, 2014).
Pai (Tamalpais Star Roth-McCormick), chef and creator of Bunches & Bunches, was invited by Food & Wine to submit a holiday recipe using a Bunches & Bunches product. As Pai has a deep love for making soups, she came up with a recipe for Curried Carrot & Apple Soup that calls for her Snaps – a ginger snap for those who enjoy the spice of life!
Pai says that it was a fun experience to create this recipe for Food & Wine readers and to be featured alongside her sweetheart Mark Slawson, also a chef and creator of Bunches & Bunches products (in particular his line of Provisions, which currently include moles and sauces). Pai and Mark were pictured side by side “in print” for the first time for the company that they started and pour their love into daily. You can find Pai’s recipe at Food & Wine and on Bunches & Bunches website Recipes Page.
Remember to add love, the most precious ingredient!
