Feast Grand Tasting 2016

We cooked up a storm this weekend at Feast Portland, the major food and drink festival of the Pacific Northwest. It was our third time at the event sharing our Portland made goods and treats during the sold out Grand Tasting, the festival’s largest tasting event.

At Feast’s Grand Tasting Friday and Saturday we debuted our newest product, Bunches & Bunches Provisions Jerk Sauce. Over 2000 servings of our Jerk Chicken with a grilled pineapple and black bean salsa flew out of our hands and made the local TV news. Our favorite things about Feast are sharing our products – seeing the delight on people’s faces as they enjoy the flavors, meeting other amazing chefs and makers, and the music! Great DJ this year.

Our Jerk Sauce is inspired by the flavors and spices used in Jamaican jerk sauces, marinades, and Caribbean style barbecue. It is gluten free, easy to use, and made with ingredients that we are proud of. We think you will love the taste. It will be on shelves and available via our website in a few weeks. Stay tuned!

It looks like something we would make and love! Nachos With Bunches & Bunches Smoked: Oaxacan Mole Sauce (you could also use our Red: Dried Chilaca Mole Sauce or Green: Fire Roasted Chile Sauce for delicious nachos). Chicken In Mole Sauce

Wonderful review of Bunches & Bunches Smoked: Oaxacan Mole Sauce on the blog by Ted Kennedy Watson (TKW) and a simple recipe for how they like to use our product:

Chicken In Mole Sauce

Preparation:

  1. Buy a jar of Bunches & Bunches Smoked Oaxacan Mole Sauce (the Red Mole & Green Chile Sauce work great this way too!).
  2. Just spoon over a few chicken breasts and roast in the oven. Add more in the last few minutes of the cooking process.
  3. Add a bit more once the meat has rested and spoon over the cut up pieces of chicken so the sauce really gets all over the meat.

“The deep, smoky flavor turning ordinary chicken into extraordinary chicken.”

“Last night I served it with roasted Yukon gold potatoes, black beans, salsa and a sprinkling of feta over the whole thing. Fun to have a few jars of things around to add to something simple like chicken to bump up the flavor quotient and make it extra special.” – TKW

Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee

Congratulations to comedy’s secret agent Julia Louis-Dreyfus on her Emmy wins for Veep this week. We are big fans of both Veep and Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

Speaking of Comedians In Cars…it was a HUGE thrill to see our Snaps and moles in the episode with Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jerry Seinfeld who were having a great time together at our favorite coffee shop in the whole world – Caffe Luxxe (Montana Avenue, Santa Monica and other locations in the Los Angeles area).
