Spreading Love

Dear friend, Lisa Flood, at Style Jackson Hole, recently donated some of our Snaps to a gift basket at a local fundraiser for children. Nice to see the love being spread around!

Picnic in Seattle – "A Delectable Destination"

Now sharing Cloud Cookies & Snaps (a most delicious ginger snap!) with Seattle via Picnic, a food + wine boutique in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood…given this fun review by Only In Seattle:

“No, you are not in the Hamptons with the Barefoot Contessa, you are in Phinney—Greenwood and your foodie heart can now die happy. Part café, part deli, part wine bar, part specialty food shop, Picnic is all of these things – a delectable destination.” – onlyinseattle.org

We can’t wait to eat there too…yum!

Lily & Co. – Jackson Hole

“We are familiar with the powerful language of flowers.” – Lily & Co.
My friends at Lily & Co. in Jackson Hole, WY, run one of my favorite places to shop for special treats, gifts, kitchen and home delights, and flowers. And currently they are bringing my Bunches & Bunches cookies (all three) to Jackson – a place very dear to my heart. I hope you get to visit Lily & Co., and if not, you might find inspiration via their website. Happy Summer days everyone!

Behance, Love, Snaps…

Our Snaps packaging was recently featured on the Behance Network, a web showcase for creative professionals. The packaging was created by Tamalpais (Pai) Roth McCormick, founder of Bunches & Bunches, and Yael Miller, of Miller Creative in NJ (who has a beautiful new branding website and who also did the packaging for Bailey Dog Biscuits). It’s so much fun to see the results of hours of inspiration and collaboration in these beautiful photos. Easy on the eyes and delicious to taste!
Hope you enjoy the spice of your life!

Bailey’s Biscuits At Salt & Sea On Bainbridge Island

We love sharing our Bailey’s Biscuits at a new location, especially one as beautiful as this shop, and with people from Bainbridge Island, Seattle, and those passing through or visiting the Island. Salt & Sea is a “vintage” inspired home store, with a coastal feel. And close to where Pai, founder of Bunches & Bunches, and inventor and baker of Bailey’s Biscuits, lived as a child.

Bailey’s Biscuits Given Out At Local Fundraiser

On Sunday the Bunches & Bunches crew and dogs – Bailey, Daisy, & Jack – participated in the Run For The Love Of Dove 5k here in Portland. Early on a bright beautiful day we joined 700 + runners and some 200 dogs for a run/walk through NW Portland for this fun event that raised $33,000 for the Dove Lewis Stray Animal & Wildlife Program. We would do it again! Any race that involves the dogs and any event as wonderfully coordinated as this one! It all ended with a party outside Lucky Lab Brewery where Bailey’s Biscuits were prizes for fastest runners, runners who looked most like their dogs, and the oldest dogs participating. Maybe we will see you there next year!

And there’s more to love about the Bunches & Bunches connection to this event. See Pai’s letter to Dove Lewis about how they saved Bailey of Bailey’s Biscuits…
(photo: Daisy, Bailey, and Jack on a summer’s day last year in Portland)

It was my good fortune to have been introduced to Dove Lewis in a very personal way. Just weeks after moving to Portland my first big dog love Bailey had to have his spleen removed. Our neighborhood vet suggested that Dove Lewis perform the surgery and off we went at 5:30 am to place our Bailey in their capable hands. We shared the waiting room with a pet rat, a sniffling guinea pig, a cat or two, a pocket sized dog and a big silly curly haired water dog. The care and patience the receptionist took with each entourage was a marvel to witness at 6 am and the doc that treated Bailey was amazing.

Thank you to all the staff and the state of the art facility at Dove Lewis for the special treatment they gave Bailey and all the other dog loves and pets that they treat so brilliantly. Bailey is still going strong and is the honorable mascot of our pack of big motley yellows.
We at Bunches & Bunches are excited to be participating in this valuable and fun fundraising event – Run For The Love Of Dove. Thanks & love Dove Lewis and all,

– Tamalpais Roth McCormick, Bunches & Bunches, and the pack (Bailey, Jack, & Daisy)

The Inspiration For Bailey’s Biscuits

Pai, founder of Bunches & Bunches, and her sweetie Mark enjoy the company of three yellow lab-mix dogs that they adopted in Jackson Hole. Both professional chefs who love food, Pai and Mark wanted to have something delicious on hand for their dogs (other than what was on their plates). Hence the inspiration for Bailey’s Dog Biscuits, which are made from all natural ingredients, rolled and cut by hand, and baked with love in Portland.

You can break Bailey’s Biscuits in peices for smaller treats or slather them in something extra special – the other day the pack enjoyed a little cheese on top of theirs! Any way you slice it – these are a hit with the dogs.

A Juicy Bit About Bunches & Bunches

Bunches & Bunches is one of those burgeoning little startups making their treats for the world in Portland, OR. A dream of chef Tamalpais (“Pai”) Roth McCormick who moved to Portland from Jackson Hole last year to be closer to her family. Since 2010, Bunches & Bunches has been making gourmet treats for dogs and people who appreciate the attention to ingredients, taste, and the “love” infused in each product. Pai grew up in the Northwest eating fresh from her parents garden, making pasta and savoring the world of food from a young age. After culinary school, restaurants, and running her own catering company, she decided to perfect and share a few of her favorite recipes, which so far include, Bailey’s Dog Biscuits, Cloud Cookies, and her newest item, Snaps, a ginger cookie for those who enjoy the spice of life! You can find Bunches & Bunches products locally in Portland, around the country, in Europe and online. There are more products coming soon…you may want to keep your eyes peeled and check the web for details.
And remember, when you cook, bake or do anything, it always tastes/feels better with love – the most precious ingredient.
